One of many internal articles I have written during my corporate communications internship at International Paper. This is for the company-wide weekly newsletter that is distributed into more than 39,000 employee email inboxes.
Investing in PEOPLE
Before opening the door to 2024, International Paper wants to thank all of our employees for the impact made during the 2023 Employee Giving Campaign this fall. The campaign is on track to reach nearly $3 million in United Way and Employee Relief Fund employee donations across 138 facilities. This giving total also includes the company match.
During various Days of Caring events through year-end, more than 1,500 employees across the U.S. and Canada will have volunteered 4,600 hours to support 51 non-profits making impacts in our communities. Whether you volunteered with a local community organization, helped Fill-A-Bag, Plant-A-Tree, write Love Letters for Literacy or Holiday Cards for Heroes, the time and effort given to our community partners went a long way.
“When our colleagues give of their time and resources through the Employee Giving Campaign, we create a better future for our communities, people, and the planet,” said Dynisha Woods, manager, Community Engagement. “Along with this year’s campaign co-chairs, Leslie Petrie and Mike Anderson, together we were all champions for our communities in the most impactful ways.”
Throughout the 2023 Employee Giving Campaign, our communities have been reminded of the IP impact that is sparked by the heart of the people who work at International Paper. Even though the 2023 campaign season has come to an end, you can give year-round. So, why not today?
